Women's Ministry

Women's Ministries: Second Saturday of each month @ 9:30am (currently studying the book, "Building Your Strengths" by Patsy Clairmont; open to all ladies in our church & community!

Women’s Ministries is a serving ministry of First Baptist Church. Whether it’s caring for a family in need or rejoicing in celebration, ultimately we are serving our Lord by serving others.  Women’s Ministries serves the church body in various capacities, promotes fellowship with one another and growth in Christ, and seeks to be a blessing to our community. The purposes of Women’s Ministries are: 1. To involve all women of the church family, 2. To fellowship with one another, 3. To pray for one another, 4. To plan ministries for the church women, 5. To encourage and support one another, our missionaries, and the community. “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially those who belong to the family of believers.” Galatians 6:9-10

Quilt/Sewing Classes: Tuesdays, 1:00pm - 5:00pm

After over twenty-five years of quilt-making, Pam Kerndt is excited to be able to use her talents and experience as a ministry to the community.  Pam graduated from college with an art degree & later completed her teaching certification. She has used what she learned throughout her life teaching workshops for the local Quilter’s Guild, students in various organizations, including Girl Scouts, and special events.  She has completed many quilts, large & small, using various techniques: appliquéing, piecework, and paper piecing. She has a great eye for color & uses her creativity to produce a wide variety of quilts, traditional and one-of-a-kind. Sewing Classes are offered throughout the year by Pam Kerndt.
